S. Adam Smith, a graduate student in Cognitive Psychology, is the recipient of the 2017 Tanner Teaching Assistants Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

The Tanner Awards were created in 1952 to recognize excellence in inspirational teaching of undergraduate students. Adam won for his outstanding contributions to undergraduate teaching on our campus and his exceptionally positive impact on the intellectual growth of his students.

Adam will be recognized on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 during the half-time ceremony at the UNC-Pitt men’s basketball game in the Dean E. Smith Center.
