Dr. Mitch Prinstein, Seters Distinguished Professor of Clinical Psychology, has been elected to the American Psychological Association’s Board of Directors.

The American Psychological Association (APA) is the leading scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States and its mission is to advance the creation, communication, and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people’s lives.

The APA’s Board of Directors were previously selected exclusively by the APA Council of Representatives. This year, election for its Board of Directors was opened to the entire APA membership, a group of over 115,700 researchers, educators, clinicians, consultants, and students. Dr. Prinstein was elected for a three-year term to meet governance needs in the area of science and academia. His term starts on January 1, 2018.
