The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill has been ranked number 1 for the third year in a row by the Consortium of Social Science Associations for federal funding in social and behavioral research.

This data comes from the National Center for Science and Education Statistics’ Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) Survey and denotes federal research and development expenditures for social sciences, psychology, law, communications, and social work. UNC Chapel Hill was rated #1 with over $104 million in federal research and development expenditures.
