September 18, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Presenter: Ding-Gen Chen, Ph.D., UNC Chapel Hill
Title: “Cusp Catastrophe Regression Model and Its Applications”
Abstract: This talk is to report the development of a cusp catastrophe regression model funded by NIH R01 which can be used to model both rational and irrational behaviors simultaneously in social and health behavior research. We propose a maximum likelihood estimation to estimate the model parameters and their associated statistical inference with bootstrap method. Simulation studies will be used to validate this novel model and the estimation procedure. A real example is used to illustrate this new methods.

The Quantitative Psychology Forum is open to anyone interested in quantitative methods.
