    POSTDOCTORAL POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

    Postdoc Trainee: The UNC Stress, Health and Addiction Research Program (SHARP) in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill is accepting applications for a fulltime postdoctoral trainee. The trainee will primarily be responsible for coordinating NIH/NIDA funded studies related to basic processes research and/or treatment evaluation research. Basic processes research includes the neural and biobehavioral mechanisms underlying stress and addiction, with a focus on behavioral and fMRI data acquisition. Treatment evaluation research focuses on the evaluation of behavioral treatments for addiction and comorbid mood disorders. Additional study information can be found at daughters.web.unc.edu. The trainee will receive mentored training in translational research and grant writing, and have numerous opportunities to assist in the preparation of manuscripts from these studies and related projects, as well as opportunities for developing an independent program of research. There are also multiple opportunities within the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill community and surrounding institutions for independent research and collaboration. This will be a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for a second year and third year.

    Requirements: A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field and have demonstrated the ability to produce scholarly research.
