If you will be a senior psychology major next year and are hoping to do an Honors Project, you need to apply by April 1, 2015. You need to have at least a 3.3 (overall) GPA; to have at least a 3.5 GPA in Psychology; to have taken or be taking PSYC 395; and to have found a Psychology faculty member who is willing to be your Honors Advisor and sponsor your Honors Project.
To apply, follow these two steps:
- Download and fill out a hard copy of the Honors Program Application Form. Carefully compose the essays that are requested, and send the application via email attachment to Lori Shamblin.
- Download the Faculty Recommendation Form and have your advisor fill it out and sign it. Send or give it to Lori Shamblin, Davie 235.
These forms (including your attached essays) have to be turned in by April 1, 2015 in order to be considered for the 2015-2016 Psychology Honors Program.
If you have any questions about the application process or the Psychology Senior Honors Program, please feel free to consult Dr. Peter Ornstein.
