Dr. Kenneth Bollen, a H.R. Immerwahr Distinguished Professor of Quantitative Psychology, was nominated and elected President of the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology (SMEP) at their annual meeting, October 14 – 17, 2015, in Los Angeles, California.

SMEP was founded in 1960 as an organization of researchers interested in multivariate quantitative methods and their application to substantive problems in psychology and related fields. A small elective society limited to 65 active members, SMEP facilitates high-level research and intensive interaction among members.

Dr. Bollen will serve a three-year term, first as President-Elect, President, and finally, as Past-President.
