Laura Kurtz, a graduate student in Social Psychology, is the recipient of the 2016 Chester A. Insko Best Publication Award.

The Insko Best Publication Award is awarded annually to a graduate student enrolled in the Social Psychology Doctoral Program with the best lead-author, peer-reviewed publication. Priority is given to empirical papers and to papers that have appeared in print. This award is made possible by generous gifts in the memory of the late Professor John Thibaut.

Laura won for her article, “Putting Laughter into Context: Shared Laughter as a Behavioral Indicator of Relationship Well-Being,” which was published in Personal Relationships.
