Adam Hoffman, a graduate student in Developmental Psychology, is the recipient of a 2017 Sequoyah Dissertation Fellowship within the Royster Society of Fellows.

The Sequoyah Fellowship is for American Indian students and/or research on American Indian-related topics. This competitive fellowship raises the visibility of American Indian issues and students. It supports a doctoral student to focus on dissertation work for an entire academic year with a $20,000 stipend and an additional $1,000 will be made available for travel to present research at professional meetings and conferences. As a member of the Royster Society of Fellows, Adam will also have the opportunity to meet regularly with other fellows from across the Carolina campus and with senior faculty of the Society for interdisciplinary academic enrichment, professional development, and leadership development.
