Dr. Patrick Harrison, a Teaching Assistant Professor in Psychology and Neuroscience, is the 2018 recipient of a Psi Chi Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Faculty Member.
Psi Chi recognizes a faculty member annually who helps undergraduate students grow through teaching, research, and mentorship.
Dr. Harrison received this award as he bases his teaching philosophy on bringing energy, enthusiasm, and utility to subject matter that many students might otherwise find intimidating. This year, he taught, among others: Laboratory Research in Psychology, Graduate Statistical Methods in Psychology, and Statistical Principles of Psychological Research. His excellence and dedication for teaching is unmatched. Dr. Harrison was honored at the Psychology and Neuroscience Commencement Ceremony on May 13, 2018.
