Kimberly Pentel, a graduate student in Clinical Psychology, is the recipient of the 2018-19 Bernadette Gray-Little Award for Diversity Enhancement in Psychological Research.

The purpose of the Bernadette Gray-Little Awards for Diversity Enhancement in Psychological Research is to encourage and honor students who make a contribution to the advancement of knowledge concerning issues that face diverse populations or that are of concern to diverse populations.

Kim, a sixth-year doctoral student, received this award for her research focused on couples-based treatment outcome research. She specifically has worked on adapting couple-based therapies for same-sex couples. She conducts her research within Dr. Donald Baucom’s Couples Lab. Kim’s work has been recognized at both the local and national level.
