Dr. Eva Telzer, an Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology, is the recipient of a 2020 American Psychological Association (APA) Division 7 Boyd McCandless Award.

APA’s Division 7: Developmental Psychology is organized to promote research in the field of developmental psychology, enhance undergraduate and graduate education in developmental psychology, further early career development, and promote the use of scientific knowledge in both applied settings and public policy decisions relevant to the optimal development of infants, children, and adults. The Boyd McCandless Award recognizes a young scientist who has made a distinguished theoretical contribution to developmental psychology, has conducted programmatic research of distinction, or has made a distinguished contribution to the dissemination of developmental science. The award is for continued efforts rather than a single outstanding work.

Dr. Telzer will receive the Boyd McCandless Award at the 2020 APA Annual Convention in Washington, D.C., on August 6 – 9, 2020, and will serve as the committee chair for the 2021 Boyd McCandless Award Selection Committee. Congratulations, Dr. Telzer!
