Curtis Smith IV, a Senior Psychology and Sociology double-major, received 1st place in the Undergraduate Poster Award category of the 2020 Southern Criminal Justice Association (SCJA) Showcase.

SCJA is a professional association serving criminal justice educators, researchers, practitioners, and students committed to the ongoing development of criminal justice science and practice. The Showcase took place from September 8th to 10th, 2020 virtually and featured lightning talks as well as research posters by faculty, doctoral students, masters students, and undergraduate students.

Curtis is our Spring 2020 Steven J. Reznick Scholar who pursued his scholarship under the guidance of faculty mentor, Dr. Patrick Harrison, Teaching Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience. Curtis won 1st place for his poster, “The Interactive Effect of Traumatic Brain Injury and Exposure to Violent Offending on Justice-Involved Youth.” Congratulations, Curtis!
