Dr. Keely Muscatell, an Assistant Professor of Social Psychology, is the recipient of a 2021 National Institutes of Health R01 subcontract grant.

The Research Project Grant (R01) is the original and historically oldest grant mechanism used by NIH. The R01 provides support for health-related research and development based on the mission of the NIH.

Dr. Muscatell received a total award of $3.1 million (over five years) for her project, “Neural and Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Stress-Induced Inflammatory Responses.”
