Dr. Viji Sathy, Professor of the Practice, is received a 2020-2021 Innovation in Equity and Inclusion Service Honorable Mention.

Up to four separate awards are given annually to faculty members, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, research staff, and/or administrative staff within our Department who have each made significant, innovative, and impactful contributions to enhancing equity and inclusivity in the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience. The award recognizes individuals with outstanding accomplishments and general impact in research, teaching, mentoring, and/or service and considers their significance, innovation, and impact.

Dr. Sathy received an honorable mention as she works tirelessly on DEI issues as Professor of Practice in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, as Faculty Fellow for Inclusive Teaching for Digital & Lifelong Learning and the Center for Faculty Excellence, and as Director of the Townsend Program for Education Research. As a national expert on inclusive teaching, she works both within the classroom and as a researcher and has done so much to advance equity and inclusion at the university level and beyond. Dr. Sathy was honored with the Innovation in Equity and Inclusivity Service Honorable Mention at the Psychology and Neuroscience Departmental Awards Ceremony on May 5, 2021.
