2015 Cowan Lecture: Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

The 2015 1st Annual Ann Rankin Cowan Lecture, made possible and sponsored by Ann Rankin Cowan and the Cowan Family Foundation, features Barbara Olasov Rothbaum, Ph.D., ABPP, a professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Director of the Trauma and Anxiety Recovery Program at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Rothbaum is a clinical psychologist who specializes in research on the treatment of individuals with anxiety disorders, focusing in particular on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Most relevant to the Cowan Lecture, Dr. Rothbaum is a pioneer in the application of virtual reality exposure therapy to the treatment of psychological disorders.
