Spring 2013 Commencement

PSYCHOLOGY UNDERGRADUATE COMMENCEMENT ON MAY 12, 2013
The Department of Psychology’s Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 12th at 12:30 pm in Carmichael Arena (which is sometimes referred to by its old name - Carmichael Auditorium). Students planning to walk must report to the lobby of Carmichael no later than 12:00 PM to check-in and receive further instructions. No tickets are required for this event and open seating is available; thus, you are welcome to invite as many family members and friends as you wish.
December 2012 graduates and seniors graduating in August 2013 and even December 2013 are invited to walk at the Department of Psychology’s Commencement Ceremony. If you fall into any of these categories, please email lauradepersia@unc.edu for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: This area will be heavily congested. The university's main ceremony begins at 9:30 AM at Kenan Stadium and will end at approximately 11-11:15 AM. Students and their families may then proceed to Carmichael Arena for the Department of Psychology's ceremony. It is a short walk from Kenan to Carmichael, approximately 5 minutes. Upon arrival, ushers will be available to guide you and your family members to their respective locations.

OTHER SPECIAL NEEDS
Disability Seating – Carmichael has a designated seating area for guests who require the use a wheelchair. Upon arrival, please let your usher know how many seats you will need to accompany those guests. (No more than 1-2 additional seats are permitted in this section.) If any of your guests are in need of this seating, please email lauradepersia@unc.edu no later than May 1st so we can make sure there are enough seats set up in this area.
Deaf/Hearing Impaired Guests – If any of your guests will require an ASL interpreter, you must email lauradepersia@unc.edu no later than April 15th indicating this request so that we can secure an interpreter. If we determine there is a need for an interpreter, we will have ushers available to direct your guests to a designated seating area.
DOCTORAL HOODING CEREMONY ON MAY 11, 2013
