Two undergraduates, Olivia LaSpina-Williams and John Ogunkeye, are the recipients of a 2016 Office of Undergraduate Research Research Poster Award.

Olivia and John were honored at the 17th Annual Celebration of Undergraduate Research, April 18, 2016. The goal of the celebration is showcase and encourage meaningful research in all disciplines by undergraduates at UNC.

Olivia won an award for her research poster, “Why the Reasons that Parents Give for Socializing Gratitude in their Children Matter,” and John won for his poster, “Peer Accusations of ‘Acting White’: Longitudinal Effects on Minority Adolescents’ Ethnic Identity and Depressive Symptoms.”
