Dr. Anna Bardone-Cone, a Professor of Clinical Psychology, has been selected as a Working on Women in Science (WOWS) Scholar in the UNC College of Arts and Sciences for a two-year term, effective July 2017.
The WOWS initiative was established in 2007 that is dedicated to the recruitment, retention, and professional development of women in the sciences. In addition, WOWS scholars work on the ADVANCE grant team on the proposal to the National Science Foundation to increase the participation and advancement of women in academic science careers. Working with other leaders on campus, WOWS scholars promote communication, coordination, and progress on issues related to the success of women in the sciences.
