The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill invites applications for three full-time (9 mos.) fixed-term Teaching Assistant Professors with three-year contracts which are renewable, to begin July 2022. Teaching faculty in the Department typically teach three courses per semester for a total of six courses each academic year, along with service/administrative responsibilities. Additionally, this position offers excellent career advancement opportunities, including promotion to Teaching Associate Professor and Teaching (Full) Professor.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field and experience teaching in an academic environment. We are seeking instructors with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate instruction. We are particularly interested in individuals who are qualified to teaching in one area of the following: 1) Biological Psychology courses, such as Learning and Sensation & Perception, 2) Neuroscience courses such as Introduction to Neuroscience and Neuroscience Research Laboratories, or 3) Clinical Psychology and/or Cognitive Psychology courses, such as Psychopathology or Introduction to Cognitive Science. At least 1-year experience teaching in an academic environment as instructor of record is strongly preferred.
