Dr. Monica Gaudier Diaz, Teaching Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, is the recipient of a 2021-22 UNC Research and Discovery Course Development Grant.

In preparation for the IDEAs in Action General Education Curriculum, the Office for Undergraduate Research awarded grants of up to $5,000 to support development of courses that satisfy the Research & Discovery requirement. Grant-related activities can support development of new courses or modification of existing courses to meet the Research & Discovery criteria. Successful proposals will also receive funding to support a Graduate Research Consultant during the first semester the course is offered and grant recipients will participate in a faculty learning community to share ideas, problems, and solutions around the development and implementation of their Research & Discovery courses.

Dr. Gaudier-Diaz’s Research and Discovery Course Development grant will support her Spring 2022 course, NSCI 279 Microglia Laboratory: Examining Morphology and Cytokines. Congratulations, Dr. Gaudier-Diaz!
