If you are a SENIOR psychology or neuroscience major and have been actively involved with service, consider applying for the Donald T. Lysle Award. This award is in honor of our current Chair, Donald T. Lysle, who is particularly known for his concern and service for others.

One winner will be selected by the end of February and will be presented with a plaque at the Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony, the only campus-wide student recognition program at Carolina. Your award will be given to you by the Chancellor at this ceremony (https://chancellorsawards.unc.edu/).

Only students who will be graduating May 2022 or August 2022 are eligible to apply. If interested in being considered for this award, please fill out the short application attached and submit to LysleAward@unc.edu by Friday, Feb. 4th, 2022 at 5PM.

This award honors Dr. Donald T. Lysle who has served as Chair since 2007. Dr. Lysle completed his B.S., Magna Cum Laude; M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and has been a faculty member at Carolina since 1990. Aside from his great service as Chair of a large department, he is known, in particular, for his compassion for others. Thus, it is fitting that the award which honors Dr. Lysle is an award which recognizes those who show exceptional concern and service for others.
