Positive Emotion Psychophysiology Laboratory (PEP Lab) Ph.D. candidate, Taylor West, was awarded the Laura Mayer Summer Research Fellowship as she works to complete her dissertation on positive emotions stemming from interactions between strangers, including in the areas of political debate and workplace colleague interactions. Generous donors support summer Research Fellowships.

Taylor says she initially came to Carolina to work with Dr. Barbara Frederickson, Kenan Distinguished Professor and director of the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Lab at UNC-Chapel Hill.
